We have several opportunities on various project sites - London, M25 & Oxford

We build many things at Laing O'Rourke. Future Olympia is one of them. A £600M redevelopments of London's Olympia Exhibition Centre, which includes the listed Grand Hall and National Hall. Early engagement and collaboration with the client, design team and other delivery partners are vital to the success of the project and have enabled all parties to agree on a DfMA-led design.

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a land surveyor to support the Olympia project. Are you a site engineer, with setting out experience? This would be an exciting opportunity to support the engineers and experience that difference for yourself.

What will the role look like?

  • Undertaking land/topographic and engineering surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners
  • Setting out
  • analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD, Civils3D, Leica Survey Software.
  • preparing survey drawings
  • Able to demonstrate Leica system, software

Key skills for geomatics surveyors and land surveyors

  • Numeracy and the ability to make mathematical calculations
  • The ability to understand and interpret data
  • Lateral and logical thinking
  • Problem solving and analysis
  • Attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Organisation and time management
