Kier construction is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to work on a large new build school project in Currie. The successful post-holder will assist the Site Management team to manage resources (people and physical assets) to implement the project plan safely, on time and to the required quality.

Location: Currie

Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the movement of people, plant, and materials on site
  • Ensure works are carried out in a safe manner
  • Assist the Site Management team in supervising sub contractors working on site
  • Check quality of work in conjunction with the senior site team
  • Carry out inductions and toolbox talks
  • Generally ensure that the site is tidy, safe and operating efficiently
Who are we looking for?

  • HNC/Degree in Construction or related/equivalent qualification (Desirable)
  • Good powers of written and verbal expression
  • Strong Influencing skills
  • Able to effectively lead/coordinate the workforce
  • Proactive
  • Problem solver underpinned by sound construction knowledge and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS 5 Day Cert
