Location: Exeter, with some site visits required and hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (part-time available if desired, just let us know)
Salary: £27k - £38k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Drainage Design Engineer, you'll be working within the Highways team, to undertake technical design elements to agreed standards, programme, and budget various projects across the UK, within Kier Highways Design Solutions. Current contracts include Local Authority, National Highways Area & Regional Contracts particularly Major Projects A66 NTP and M6 Emergency Laybys.
Your day to day will include:
- Undertaking calculations, site visits and technical AutoCAD drawings and Civils 3D models to support the development of projects
- Production of project deliverable including reports, survey packs, technical notes and process related documentation such as risk assessments and method statements
- Developing personal ability to understand a project and deliver a high-quality proposal pack

This role of Assistant Drainage Design Engineer is great for you if you have:
- Proven experience of successfully completing tasks to agreed deadlines whilst following appropriate standards and processes
- A strong desire and proven record of building skills/capability to support successful project delivery and individual development
- A proactive team member who takes pride in the quality of their work, makes strong contributions to project delivery and clearly communicates risks and decisions
