We're looking for a Civils Operative to join our Utilities team at Kier working on our UKPN alliance working on sites in Kent, and Sussex. Within this role, you can enjoy the prospect of working on complex projects essential to providing power to the local community.



Location: working on sites in the Kent and Sussex areas

Contract: Permanent, Full Time



Responsibilities

As a Operative, you'll be working within the Utilities Team, supporting our UK Power Network Alliance in delivering cable, overhead line and substation infrastructure projects across the Power Networks regions. Project values typically range from £500k to £10m.

Your day to day will include:

  • Carry out and complete excavation and cable laying work on the UKPN network as directed
  • General site supervision, including completion of all records as required
  • All Health and Safety issues on site, completion of records
  • Communicating with the Supervisor and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems


What are we looking for?

This role of Operative is great for you if:

  • Training can be provided if not already held, but our operatives will be NRSWA qualified
  • Full driving licence
