We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team based in Wymondham. Kier Highways Solutions provides a one-stop-shop end to end works management and delivery from carriageway treatment design, product manufacture, installation, temporary traffic Management through to civils, patching & road markings. Kier Highways Solutions have national coverage for the supply and installation of carriageway surface dressing and carriageway patching and have national traffic management delivery capability as well as a team of CAD designers providing traffic management design solutions. KHS also manufacture and sell bituminous road emulsions as well as bespoke bituminous products and roofing products. Responsibilities

As Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting colleagues and the operational teams ensuring correct and accurate recovery of value, improving cost reduction, while still maintaining safety standards, drive to increase profitability of the business unit and manage risk in a safe and ethical manner on the contracts you are working on.

Your day to day will include:

  • Providing commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, helping to ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded
  • Preparing monthly cost / value reports for the area, reviewing results and consideration of trends with other contract team members, assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
  • Dealing with client applications for payment, including variations and scope changes
  • Agreeing of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts and monitoring of such accounts against forecasts
  • Carrying out all commercial functions associated with our self-delivery activities for various contacts.
