Maintenance Engineer
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer in South Wales. You will primarily be based at our Severn Sands site in Newport, South Wales, but will also work at a number of different quarries, ready mix plants and asphalt plants across the South Wales/West area.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections on static and mobile plant and equipment, as well as responding to emergency plant break downs. You will also have involvement with fabrication, overhauling and repairing of plant and bagging operation equipment. Other duties will include ensuring plant and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose, and collaborating with site management to co-ordinate preventative maintenance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will have experience as a plant Fitter for heavy plant. It is essential that you have experience in welding and fabrication and ideally should hold or be working towards NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
A full driving licence is essential for you to be considered for this role as you will be required to drive a company van.
