We're looking for a Planner (Planning Engineer) to join the Highways team in Penrith. The successful candidate will be working as a member of integrated planning and project controls team, under the direction and leadership of the project planning manager. Location: Flexible working available, where you will be initially based out of our Penrith with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Responsibilities

As a Planner, you'll be working within the Highways Major Projects, supporting projects in Penrith.

Your day to day will include:

  • all aspects of planning, phasing, coordination and sequencing for tenders and live projects
  • the incorporation of design, procurement and pre-construction activities into a fully integrated, logic linked programme
  • timely and accurate progress updates, development and maintenance of the integrated schedule, and provision of time-related data and analysis


Who are we looking for?

This role of Planner is great for you if have:

  • experience in a similar role gained on major projects with a main contractor or design consultancy
  • understand and demonstrate knowledge of highways design and construction methodology
  • able to develop survey, design and construction programmes based on agreed methodology
  • good IT skills and experience of using professional planning tools such as Primavera P6, TILOS and MS Office
