We're looking for a Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator to join our Construction team based in Plymouth. Within this role, you can enjoy a pension matched up to 7.5%, 26 days holidays + bank holidays and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator, you will be Responsible for supporting the delivery of the Kier Construction Devon & Cornwall Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability strategy that addresses needs of both local and wider business to ensure that Kier not only meets but strives to exceed its client, internal and industry body social value KPIs.

Within the role, you will also assist in collecting and reporting on key Social Value and Sustainability Performance indicators in line with the Kier Building for a Sustainable World and project specific sustainability indicators.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support with collating and preparing information to report progress of objectives and targets.
  • Support with maintaining and updating databases including, Thrive and other framework specific portals such as Compliance Chain and Social Value Portal.
  • Engage in research for social value and sustainability elements of bids.
  • Work closely with the supply chain partners to influence suitable training to achieve social value targets.
  • Build relationships with local schools, colleges, charities, and other relevant organisations to identify and drive social value opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver educational sessions in schools and colleges.
  • Help to coordinate and take part in community volunteer days.


Who are we looking for?

In order to be considered for the role, Previous experience of working with schools, community organisations or charities or in a social value role would be desirable.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of and experience of working with the Social Value Act
  • Experience of delivering Social Value in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Experience of Community engagement
  • Experience of promoting a Social Value culture across a business and balancing Social Value with commercial pragmatism
  • Experience of working with Schools / Colleges.


First class communications skills (written and oral). A clear and demonstrable interest in promoting Social Value balanced with a firm understanding of business need and commercial reality. We are seeking someone who is a self-starter, highly organised and has the ability to be adaptable and think outside the box equipped with the tenacity required to build relationships with external bodies and busy internal colleagues alike. Ability to work on own initiative but also be a true team player.

Will need to be fully conversant with Microsoft Office products including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage.
