We are looking for professionals to join our Ranson, West Virginia team as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the latest electrical equipment.

This is What You Offer:

  • 2-year degree or equivalent certification or work experience required.
  • 2-3 years' practical experience in manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)/Automation, specifically Siemens and Endress+Hauser instrumentation;

Essential Functions:

  • Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software.
  • Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors.
  • Maintain equipment by way of planned preventive maintenance programs, keeping maintenance records per company policies as well as advanced troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment during shift.
  • Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner.
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Install, visually examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, transformers, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
