Contract: Full time, part time & flexible

Responsibilities
As Traffic Engineer, you'll be working within the Asset & Professional Services team, supporting them with ensuring the successful delivery of traffic engineering schemes for North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council.
Your day to day will include:
- Planning, developing and implementing traffic engineering schemes to specification, budget and agreed targets whilst liaising with project teams and clients
- Developing and producing detailed AutoCad drawings
- Preparing of bills of quantities, inspection and test plans and suitable scheme preconstruction information
- Delivering technical designs with minimal supervision in accordance with approved design procedures and systems
- Interpreting and communicating legislation, regulations, policies, strategies and technical guidance across the team as appropriate and obtaining authorisations and approvals for cases for any departures
This role of Traffic Engineer is great for you if you can:
- Show a HNC, HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering with experience in Traffic Engineering and Highway design.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of traffic / highway design principles and can produce drawings in AutoCAD, together with use of Keysign, Keyline and AutoTrack software
- Bring good working knowledge of health & safety including CDM 2015
