We're currently searching for Senior Cost Manager to join a leading global construction consultancy firm specializing in cost management, project management, and advisory services. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional cost management solutions to our clients across various industries.

This organisation are considered to be one of the leaders in their space, exciting and large clients across the Data Centre, Life Science and other mission critical markets.

This opportunity is available on a Fly-In, Fly-Out basis for candidates located in the UK or Ireland if required.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the tendering/bidding process, from the initial tender/bid documentation to evaluation and reporting
  • Evaluation of tenders/bids to ensure optimal value for customers
  • Negotiation and agreement of costs with commercial contractors based on cost and project planning
  • Involvement in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling and settlement of claims to ensure maximum benefit for customers from completed works
  • Preparation of comprehensive construction cost calculations/estimations to provide detailed cost planning for customers
  • Monitoring project costs through assessments and cost breakdowns, and providing comprehensive information to customers regarding identified deviations
  • Transparent support in the resolution and settlement of disputes, damages, and claims in construction projects
  • Promoting outstanding performance and the development of employees through excellent support and leadership

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a construction cost manager
  • Experience in cost management before and after contract conclusion, encompassing diverse projects with different procurement strategies
  • Project experience in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and heavy industries
  • University degree or equivalent experience in construction cost estimation or a comparable relevant field within the construction industry
  • Enjoyment of building strong relationships with colleagues and customers through shared goals, openness, and a passion for the work.
