Location: Salford or Penrith, remote/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime (part-time working available if desired, just let us know)
Salary: Up to £45k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits
Responsibilities
As a Senior Ecologist, you'll support the Senior Environmental Manager on ecological issues relating to Kier Highways schemes.
Your day to day will include:
- Advising clients including National Highways and Kier Highways colleagues on ecological matters
- Liaising with designers and contractors regarding ecological elements of schemes.
- Project management of ecological schemes and production of reports where appropriate
Who are we looking for?
This role of Senior Ecologist is great for you if you have:
- Relevant degree and experience of ecology in the highways/construction industry and experience of working with protected species
- Holding protected species licenses such as GCN, bat, dormouse, white clawed crayfish license
- Membership or working towards membership of a professional body i.e. CIEEM
