We're looking for a Bid Manager to join Kier Construction within our Clients & Markets business unit. The role itself is flexible on location in the UK. Within this role, you can enjoy company car/car allowance, pension matched up to 7.5%, 26 days holidays + bank holidays and even more.

Contract: Permanent - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.



Responsibilities



As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for producing the quality aspect of health submissions in all formats (written, visual aid or interview presentation) and to ensure that the content best reflects the brief or questions being asked, using the most appropriate and up to date format.

Within the role, you will establish best practice both across the Kier Group (bid and technical teams) and external sources such as bid specialist businesses and consultants.

Duties and responsibilities within the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Oversee, review and produce all submissions as required by the line manager and requirements by the wider business units
  • Key focus on ensuring that all submissions are produced to the highest level of quality, raising the bar and are grammatically & graphically correct.
  • Introduce news ways of bidding by embracing technology (ie. Use of VR, interactive, hyperlinks etc.)
  • Prepare all internal bid documents such as Project / Bid Briefing presentation, answer plan, client research, bid programme and MS Teams file structure management
  • Carry out bid expertise Gap Analysis ie. Identification of the right resources to produce the best possible bid
  • Able to convert into a bid offer specialist subjects such as CSR, Digital, NZC etc.


Who are we looking for?



Working on healthcare projects valued up to and over £100m, we are looking for like for like industry experience. You will need to hold the relevant qualifications, along with a solid history of working on submission management with a main contractor. Key attributes that we're looking for in applicants include:

  • An excellent facilitator and presenter
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Responsible for documentation and presentations health sector wide
  • Graphic design experience
  • Ability to format and present visually stimulating construction documents and produce PowerPoint presentation to a high standard.
  • Ability to communicate with senior people / teams
  • Develop specialist subject to contribute to submissions i.e., Digital offer
