Location: Birmingham

Contract: Permanent, full time, part time and flexible


Responsibilities

As Electrical Pre-Site Technician, you'll be working within the planning team, assisting with the operational works, ensuring they are adequately planned so the contract delivers to full health & safety requirements, budget, programme whilst also ensuring client satisfaction and KPI metrics are realised. To ensure all electrical assets on the Birmingham highways are sufficiently checked prior to being planned and works instructed to operational teams.

Your day to day will include:

  • Complying with the Safety Health Environmental Management System (SHEMS)
  • Undertaking site visits and providing information to the planning team in a timely manner, monitoring workmanship and material quantities for all works, ensuring the relevant records are maintained.
  • Ensuring works information is relevant and suitable for purpose, making sure all site-specific hazards are highlighted and managed
  • Preparing and delivering customer communications such as letters and notifications to stakeholders and residents

  • Who are we looking for?

    This role of Electrical Pre-Site Technician is great for you if you can:

  • Demonstrate experience of working within the highways electrical industry including knowledge of construction, design, scheme delivery and network operations with a familiarity of health and safety relating to highway electrical operations
  • Use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, outlook and word documents.
  • Drive and hold a full driving licence and are G39, City and Guilds 2391,18th Edition wiring regulations and HEA registered / qualified
