Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with an award-winning specialist manufacturing company based in Oxfordshire and they are looking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Engineer on a permanent basis to their expanding team.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER

ROLE OVERVIEW

The role of the Continuous Improvement Engineer will be to lead and drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing site. The role, reporting to the Operational Systems Manager, will work closely with other members of the Operations department and more widely when required to identify areas of improvement, develop and implement process improvements, and lead projects to drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing site, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and tools
* Collaborate with Operations colleagues to identify opportunities for business process improvement, and implement changes to drive operational efficiency and improve product quality
* Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for improvement projects
* Train and coach employees on lean manufacturing tools and techniques, and develop a culture of continuous improvement across the site
* Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement
* Develop and implement standard work procedures, visual management systems and any other documentation as required to ensure consistency and drive process improvements
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on improvement projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
* Experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools, such as Kaizen, 5S and visual management
* Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects and achieving measurable results
* Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated ability to coach and train employees on lean manufacturing principles and tools.
* Strong IT skills, particularly MS office

Desired
* Degree in Engineering or related field
* Experience within plastics moulding or moderate volume production
* Experience with safety procedures and practices

Continuous Improvement Engineer - MANDATORY RESPONSIBILITIES
