We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Utilities Teams based in the South-West. Within this role, you can enjoy hybrid working, career progression opportunities, private healthcare, a matched pension scheme and even more.



Location: Exeter/St. Austell - hybrid working available (3 days in the office, 2 days flexible to work from home)



Contract: Permanent, full time. Part time/ flexible hours may be available if desired, just let us know and we'll do our best to support you



Responsibilities



As a Quantity Surveyor, your role will be integral to the Kier Utilities: South-West Water Network Services Alliance contract. You will be responsible for overseeing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects. This team-based position provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with ample support within a well-established and sizeable team.

Your day to day will include:


  • Procurement of subcontractors in line with our commercial standards, ensuring best value for Kier and our client
  • Accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Working with the operations team to ensure sound cost management
  • Submission of change management notifications under the NEC form of contract
  • Assist with month end reporting and ensure cash flow is maximised
  • Assessing subcontract valuations

    This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience working with NEC form of contracts.
