Responsibilities
As Borough Manager, you'll support the teams across the region to deliver the requirements of the Transport for London (TfL) maintenance contract and the London Borough of Barnet contract, to deliver lump sum reactive and cyclic improvement schemes and ordered maintenance works in line with contractual requirements.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing planning and operations to meet revenue targets, client KPIs and reduction of overall workstack, providing full commentary to performance team as needed for any failures in a timely manner, attending any meetings necessary, managing and monitoring stock / deliveries and ordering process in accordance with financial processes, ensuring workstacks are tagged and up to date, stock booked out and accounted for, and ordered in time taking into account lead times and supply chain issues, the latter being communicated to performance and management
- Responsible for the depots and any other yards and depots relating to Tarmac Kier Joint Venture boroughs, overseeing all operations in accordance with health & safety standards and legislation.
- Ensuring TM external booking (and all subcontractor booking) takes place only after having fully exhausted internal resource options, with TOs in place, confirming full operational efficiency, attending all performance calls necessary to look at quality of completed works, and hours worked, as well as onsite audits
- Maintaining full series of subcontractor governance quality audits and meetings as per documentation sent to TfL
- Ensuring all delivery processes and procedures are complied with and liaising with the health and safety team identifying potential hazards, logging incidents and near misses, and any amendments to the delivery process where required ensuring compliance with the CDM Regulations
This role of Borough Manager is great for you if you can:
- Manage high performing teams successfully delivering a range of works
- Demonstrate contractual awareness with knowledge of network operations within the highways industry, specifically within the London network
- Provide knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices with NRSWA and SMSTS
