Join our team as an Indirect Tax Manager, where you will support the Finance Director and Financial Controller in delivering an efficient and accurate indirect tax function. As the key point of contact for tax-related queries and advice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring robust and technically accurate tax filings, implementing process improvements, and driving tax efficiency savings across VAT and the Construction Industry Scheme.
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities, including managing VAT and CIS reporting and compliance processes, conducting technical reviews of VAT and CIS returns and reconciliations, and overseeing VAT and CIS registrations for the UK business. Your expertise in indirect tax matters, such as VAT and CIS, will enable you to provide guidance across the organisation and collaborate with different teams to resolve tax-related issues. Additionally, you will act as a key contact for VAT and CIS tax queries, drive process documentation and improvements, and ensure that the accounting systems align with tax regulations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ad-hoc tax projects and queries, demonstrating your enthusiasm, responsibility, and ability to deliver results. Maintaining excellent communication across the business is essential, as you will interact with colleagues from other departments.

To excel in this role, you should have prior UK experience in an Indirect Tax role and familiarity with CIS. Proficiency in Excel and a good understanding of tax risk and controls are essential. Experience within the Construction or House Building sector would be advantageous, although candidates from other industries will be considered.
