We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team based in Edmonton or Wraysbury. This prestigious contract is for TfL, our long-standing relationship means this contract will run until at least 2029 with a view to extend further. Location: Edmonton or Wraysbury, London

Contract: Full time, part time and flexible

Salary: Up to £65k + Pension + Benefits + Car allowance


Responsibilities

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them with the commercial performance of workstreams, taking jobs from price submission to agreeing final account figures and reporting the progress through monthly CVRs.

Your day to day will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with both the client and supply chain, claiming value and managing sub-contractor accounts
  • Working closely with operation teams to ensure accurate and sufficient detail to help achieve delivery forecasts
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager on tasks, as well as providing guidance for other junior members of the team
  • Managing the high-speed network across North London, this maintenance contract is worth circa £20million
Who are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you can:

  • Show an industry specific degree or equivalent as well as relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of pricing highways / civil engineering works through schedule of rates, and first principle and knowledge of NEC form of contracts, and ability to administer it
  • Provide good leadership and display a logical approach to managing high volume workloads
