Salary: £34,600.00 per year
We are looking for a Carpenter to assist in the reactive repairs and maintenance of social housing and void operations in Staines.
Daily responsibilities of a Carpenter are:
- Undertaking responsive maintenance and/or planned works within occupied and void properties
- Repairing or renewing doors
- Source and fit various different locks (i.e. sash, mortise, night latch, euro cylinders, etc.)
- Kitchen repairs, including worktop replacement, unit replacement, kick boards, and basic sheet flooring
- Replacing rotten floorboards, joist repairs, etc.
- Stud walling
- Basic plumbing repairs (ability to remove sinks/WHB and toilets)
- Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules
Requirements of a Carpenter are:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Carpentry
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience within social housing or a fast-paced repairs environment
- Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
