Responsibilities As a Procurement Manager, you'll be working within the HPC team, supporting them with the sourcing, negotiation and governance of goods and subcontract procurement for the Devonport team.
Ensure that procurement policies of both Kier Group, and where necessary, clients are adhered to
Negotiate with Service Providers to ensure that specific clauses in our client contracts are flowed down to ensure that contractual risks & KPI's are not the sole responsibility of Kier
Develop and own preferred service providers & strategic partnerships to deliver best value for all parties, ensuring that these service providers can be relied on to deliver high quality, value for money services
Support audit requirements from both internal / external Kier audits
Lead contract tenders to utilise economies of scale through leveraging cross client spend in common services
Implement, maximise rebates from service providers / subcontractors, working with the central administration team to ensure that these are properly recorded and tracked
What do we need from you? This role of Procurement Manager is great for you if:
Previous experience within a similar role and sector
Full membership of CIPS, or working towards it
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent analytical, numerical and planning skills
Ability to be self-motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team
