Responsibilities
As a SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Devonport Docks team, to provide safety advice and assistance in accordance with the Kier SHE system, designed to carry out inspections, advice on hazardous activities and provide recommendations.
Your day to day will include:
- Being the key contact for SHE on our major civil engineering project.
- You'll be responsible for reviewing safety standards to ensure all legislation is complied with and providing support to the Kier Infrastructure business unit on Health & Safety issues.
- You'll work closely with the operational teams conduct site inspections and ensure the appropriate action plans have been put in place.
- You'll also assist management in SHE training and assist in developing toolbox talks.
What are we looking for?
This role of SHE Manager is great for you if:
- You'll have previous experience of working on a large-scale major project. We're looking for a qualified professional through a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent (or demonstrable IPD/CPD equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety, and strong knowledge and experience of Property maintenance.
- You'll also have a good understanding of SHE legislation.
- You'll have a working knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001 and 45001.
