We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Transportation team based in Edmonton, North London. Location: Edmonton, North London with hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Full time

Responsibilities


As a Management Accountant, you'll be a key member of the wider finance team responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies, liaising closely with Finance colleagues across Kier Transportation and the wider group. You'll be a financial resource on contract to work with contract management team to prepare monthly management accounts and timely management information to support decision making and drive contract efficiencies.


Your day to day will include:

· Preparation of management accounts through to trail balance for the contract(s), monthly profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow for the contracts

· Variance analysis of contract results for the Management Board and support of contract quarterly forecasting process

· Distributing cost and workflow reports and working with contract teams to ensure processes are adhered to such these reports are a true reflect of current performance

· Managing cash recovery from the client through monthly applications/third party invoicing, as well as any debt management when required

· Provide training to more junior members of the team




Who are we looking for?


This role of Management Accountant is great for you if you have:

· CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifications

· Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Computerised Accounting Systems

· Full UK driving licence

· Experience in either construction, highway maintenance or utilities industries
