Having worked hard to develop an enviable reputation within Newbury and the wider region as the 'go-to' installers of only the finest bathroom interiors, our client is now looking to further develop their suite of showroom services by adding a highly knowledgeable Bathroom Designer to the team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate for this senior management team role will play a leading part in determining the future course of the business, from the layout of our client's new showroom, to working hand-in-hand with clients to design their dream bathrooms. In order to succeed, an innovative mindset and in-depth understanding of contemporary bathroom designs and trends are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to truly understand their requirements, interpreting and placing this brief at the centre of our client's industry leading design.
- Starting with a blank page, partner with the business owners and senior management team to design an awe-inspiring showroom able to showcase the industry leading products and services our client provides.
- Create bathroom designs in line with a well-defined brief using our client's BathCAD software.
- Together with the Store Manager, regularly review the performance of products and displays in the store and create an ongoing improvement and development plan to include actively contributing to the decision-making process in terms of the design and look and feel of the showroom, the brands represented and the products on display.
- Build relationships with interior designers, architects and premium developers.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of working within an award-winning design environment, either as a Lead/Senior Designer or a Junior Designer that is now looking for an exciting senior design role offering huge amounts of autonomy.
- Working knowledge of CAD software, with a specific focus on bathroom design. Ideally BathCAD, althhough applications from candidates with similar industry design software experience are also very welcome.
- The ability to quickly develop relationships with clients and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and industry/subject matter expert.
- Able to translate client requirements into cutting edge design whilst always keeping real world implementation in mind.
- Excited by the prospect of delivering 'award-level' bathroom design to a range of customers as part of a senior management level role within a fast-growing company that has maintained its 'family' ethos.

Based in a purpose-built showroom in Newbury and working only with leading industry brands, the parameters of this position are limited only by your imagination.
Due to the customer centric nature of the role the ability to work on Saturdays would be highly advantageous.
