Kier construction have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Design to join our Team based in the Solihull. Within this role, you can enjoy a bonus, car or car allowance, private healthcare and even more.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent



Responsibilities



As a Head of Design, you'll be working within the Construction Team, managing the design team in the region delivering a wide variety of projects across Healthcare, MOJ, Education, MOD, and commercial arenas, with values that can ranging from £10m to £160m



Your day to day will include:



· Taking ownership of the design function, ensuring the delivery of all aspects of Design Management within the London Private and Public Portfolio.

· Direct line management responsibility for three Design sector leads (Healthcare, Residential and Commercial) with indirect responsibility for 30 members of design team staff.

· Ensuring the development of the design function in its entirety, upholding standards and ensuring collaboration across departments.

· Oversee the development of design team members, empowering them to deliver to the highest standards and quality.



Who are we looking for?



This role of Head of Design is great for you if have:



· Experience at a Senior Level in Design Management roles, gained within Tier 1 Construction, Main Contracting environment.

· Detailed knowledge of design process departmental procedures and industry best practice.

· Strong technical acumen with a background in Design, construction management or engineering discipline.

· Knowledge of building control and planning process.

· The ability to lead a team and be part of a team.
