Responsibilities

As National Lead - Building Services Design, you'll be working within the Construction Team, supporting them in Within DaBS our Building Services design team is a strongly performing profit centre with enormous potential for growth, and with the incumbent team leader approaching retirement we are now seeking an individual to lead the team on that journey.

Your day to day will include:

· Maintain and disseminate knowledge of relevant professional and technical standards; taking an active role in developing standards and best practice to share with colleagues across the Professional Excellence Teams in the Kier business. KDaBS are key contributors to Kier Group bid risk mitigation.

· Through local team leads; effectively manage team utilisation levels, identifying and implementing necessary steps to balance team capabilities and resource levels with available workload.

· Maintain effective and regular communication to Senior Management on all matters affecting output, progress, cost and risks.

· Rapidly establishing a collaborative and effective working relationship with KDaBS senior colleagues based upon technical competence and reliability to support delivery of our multi-D design offer.

· Setting, monitoring and maintaining high quality standards of product delivery, aligning all aspects to standard industry practices, clients contractual requirements, budget and timescale.

What are we looking for?

This role of National Lead - Building Services Design is great for you if:

· Technical competence to provide direction to the development of coordinated design solutions for major new builds, refurbishments and minor works.

· This role requires a high level of knowledge and experience in your discipline allied to demonstrable understanding of the role of industry standard design software including Cymap, Amtech, NBS, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office is required. Design process optimisation through use of PowerBI is a business objective.

· Able to work to tight timescales and budgets without supervision, the successful applicant for this role will be a Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering plus significant experience demonstrating the capability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role
