Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join my clients finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions related to the purchase ledger, ensuring that invoices are processed in a timely manner, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers, including BACS payments.
- Manage and maintain supplier accounts and records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Assist with other finance-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
