About the role

We are looking for a Trainee Credit Controller. A credit controller recovers payments from non-paying customers. The majority of your time is spent talking to customers over the telephone about non-payment of their accounts. The key objectives of the team are to reduce arrears, start rent protection claims and oversee the legal recovery and eviction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contacting tenants or landlords at set, regular intervals by any and all means available (telephone, email, text) who have not paid their rent to determine the issue and obtain payment
  • Ensure intervals are hit to ensure any court proceedings would be successful
  • When required, attend court proceeding to provide evidence in cases where a tenant is being evicted for rent arrears
  • Raise rental guarantee claims and manage claims process.
  • Create report for Management

Skills Required

  • A keen interest in credit control and building relationships
  • Customer service background
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
