We're looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources team for our Severn Trent contract. Based from our Sheffield office but working from home and site, you can enjoy knowing that you not only help manage projects that are beneficial for our employees but for the community.



Location: remote working available, with travel to sites required and office ad hoc. Sites are in Pye Bridge and Scunthorpe.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know



Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be working on our Severn Trent water Frameworks within our Water sector, delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across Wastewater Treatment delivering both Design and Build. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work alongside the project delivery team to ensure the design, procurement, financial control, and site activities are achieved.



Your day to day will include:



  • Procuring materials, attending site and works testing, commissioning, and client training.
  • Working closely with the design team to gather all required information, participating in regular design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop the best solution.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors and preparing subcontract orders.
  • Assisting with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works, whilst liaising with site managers and teams to ensure work is completed to programme, budget, and quality
  • Developing Inspection and Test Plans, and ensuring they are completed as the scheme progresses.

    This role of Electrical Engineer is great for you if you:



  • Have an industry applicable electrical ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.
  • Proven experience within the Water Industry
  • Commercial and contractual awareness, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Project
