Location: Walsall

TEMP TO PERM.

Monday- Friday- 40 hours per week.

We are currently recruiting for a candidate who has a positive and progressive approach, to assist the growth of this Family run building maintenance company based in Bloxwich West Midlands. Working for several Social housing clients throughout Walsall, Wolverhampton, Black Country and greater midlands this opportunity would suit either a recently qualified QS or an existing QS looking for a move into role with more responsibility.

This role will involve Estimating, dealing with subcontractors and Surveying duties across different sectors of the construction industry from reactivate repairs to planned repairs and refurbishment contracts. You will be heavily involved with growing the workload of the business and working closely with the production teams.

The business has its own Glass, Windows and Door manufacturing arm offering more opportunity to work within a vertically integrated supply chain.

You will need to show experience in understanding contract documents, bills of quantities, monthly valuations, Plan and Spec pricing and demonstrate a track record of being able to deal with and motivate a spirited supply chain in a fair but firm manner.

Salary in the range £35k-£40k Dependant on experience and aptitude.

  • Experience of Schedule of Rates works is necessary (NHF/VIPER/MOD or the like)

  • Sub-contract negotiation and administration
  • Commercial Administration
