Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with a cutting-edge technology company that is looking to recruit a Project Manager to their expanding team on a permanent basis.
Building on more than two decades of science led research and development, our client designs and manufactures pioneering power generation technology.
What are we looking for
Our client is now moving into an exciting phase of large-scale development with multiple discipline engineering construction projects, we are recruiting for a skilled Project Manager to co-ordinate multiple large-scale projects from tender to sign off. This will include liaising with customers, project partners, grant bodies, suppliers and sub-contractors. The length and value of projects will vary but typically 12 to 36 months. This role will expect you to travel within the UK and Europe. There may be the occasion where travel further afield may be required.
Responsibilities
* Writing tenders and bid proposals
* Managing projects to tight timelines and budgets
* Coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers
* Overseeing installation, commissioning and testing of company products
* Interacting with customers and grant bodies
* Technical and project reporting to funding bodies and consortiums
* Ensuring site safety is being adhered to
Project Manager - About You
The successful candidate will be driven, pragmatic and be able to work without supervision but be able to seek support and advice when necessary.
* Degree qualified Engineer (preferably Mechanical, Electrical) with strong core project skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Problem solving ability
* Ability to use Microsoft Project or similar
* Good report writing skills
* Customer facing experience
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
You must hold a full clean UK driving license and no travel restrictions is essential.
It would be advantageous but not essential if you speak German/have German written ability and are a Prince2 Practitioner
