As part of Laing O'Rourke's transformation, we need candidates like you to help with our journey. The Job role will be based at our Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction, the most advanced concrete manufacturing facility in Europe.

Are you an experienced and motivated SAP professional? Can you take ownership, analyse and train? Then this is the role for you. Can you work with both internal SAP teams and offshore development and and support resources? This role will see you implement and maintain Laing O'Rourke SAP solutions. You will need a deep understanding of SAP modules, excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.

Can you enhance efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of business processes and systems? Then come and design and deliver effective training programs for the construction industry so our employees use SAP systems effectively.

What are you required to do in this role?

  • Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
  • Understand how system enhancements will impact the business processes
  • Initiate and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities using SAP functionality
  • Create, maintain, and review detailed documentation of SAP processes.
  • Ensure documentation and process maps are current and easily accessible to our business users.
  • Offer / coordinate ongoing support to users, addressing their questions and issues related to SAP.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and facilitate the updating of training materials with our offshore team.
  • Stay up to date with SAP system updates and changes.
  • Assist with post-training support to users.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team when necessary to resolve technical problems.

You will need to draw on your stakeholder management and communication skills to build relationships between teams and functions. Can you draw on your experience to create sophisticated simplicity? The you can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical groups.

Essential skills and experience:

  • 3 years SAP experience using modules: SD, MM, PP, PS and FI/CO
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness of technical specifications and process documentation
  • Ability to deliver training to all levels of users.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • An understanding of SAP modules: WM, QM, PM, DMS, EPPM and CATS
  • Experience with SAP implementations & upgrades.
  • Demonstratable SAP experience using modules: SD, MM, PP, PS and FI/CO.
  • Experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment.
