Role: Sales / Administrative Assistant
Location: South Dublin
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Our client one of Ireland's leading fastener distributors are currently recruiting for a Sales/Administrative Assistant for the South Dublin location.
Reporting to: Sales / Administration Manager.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
Qualifications: Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience: 2 years' experience in Sales / Administration, preferably in the Fastener Industry or allied industry.
Job Purpose:
To assist in the day to day running of a busy office covering telephone, sales enquiries, processing orders and all associated paperwork, maintaining files in good order etc., in line with Company procedures.
Telephone - professional manner; ability to process sales enquiries to relevant level.
Sales - ability to receive sales enquiries by telephone and/or email and process (quote, picking list, delivery docket, invoice etc.) according to company procedures.
Filing - regular filing duties; storing all documents in good order.
Skills Required:
Product Knowledge: 2 years' experience preferred in same or similar industry; Company product range must be learned and a dedicated approach is vital.
Sales / Admin: good knowledge and skills in quoting, awareness of costs, processing sales, and following through on all administrative procedures, with attention to detail, in an accurate and efficient manner.
Numeracy and Communication: very good skills essential.
Admin: Excellent office organisation with high standard of processing paperwork required for all functions.
IT Systems: Proficient in use of Email, Word, Xcel and experience in use of accounts package.
Professional approach to all aspects of the business.
Person Specification:
Excellent punctuality and attendance.
Ability to work both on own initiative and within a team and take instruction with enthusiasm from management.
Pleasant manner, energetic, enthusiastic, organised, methodical, good teamwork skills, flexible, adaptable, honest, loyal.
Accurate, efficient, good time management.
A genuine interest in developing product knowledge.
Fluent English speaker (submit relevant qualification if necessary).
Candidates must have a full valid EU working permit, if applicable.

Learn and adhere to high standards in line with Company policies and procedures. Company has strong Covid-19 protocols which must be adhered to at all times.
Miscellaneous:
Small company (less than 10 staff), fast paced environment, use of IT systems, full training provided.
This role is not suited to remote working.
Pension Scheme available to join on successful completion of probationary period.
