Are you a press brake operator/ setter unhappy where you are currently?
A well established client in Nottingham is looking for a press brake operator/ setter on rotational shifts.
The shifts are 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm. You will be working with a small team in a fast paced environment and a growing business which is set to expand in the next couple of years.
Client information
The client is based in Nottingham and supply nationally. They have over 30,000 sq ft of workshop space and employ over 65 people in our 24-hour operation. They are one of the leading laser cutting companies in the UK.
Shift information
Monday - Friday 06:00am - 14:00pm
Monday - Friday 14:00pm - 22:00pm
Rotational shifts. One week mornings and the second week afternoons.
Overtime is available on request.
Acquired skills/ Responsibilities (not limited to)
Perform typical press operations to produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.
Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Preferred skills
Exemplary motor skills are required for the position, as brake press machines have multiple settings and levers that must be adjusted for each job and quickly manipulated through the steps of creating finished products.
Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates and blueprints.
Must be able to read gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
Manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
