JOB DESCRIPTION:

Water Technician required to work for a Facilities Management company to cover planned and preventative work on a mobile basis on healthcare sites in Darlington, Durham, Teeside. Our client is looking for an experienced, multi-skilled, pro-active candidate with customer service experience to join the team.

A Full UK valid driving license is required with no more than 6 points and over 2 years driving experience.

This role is Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with overtime available.

The Water Technician will be an ambassador of a well-known facilities management company.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver high quality service and have a keen eye for detail.

  • Maintain, diagnose and repair.

  • Have basic IT skills with Microsoft package.

  • Undertake risk assessments for maintenance and repair works to ensure that works are carried out in a safe manner.

  • Communicate to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.

  • Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8 such as water system clean and disinfection's.

  • This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.

  • Maintain customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation inline with current guidelines and company policy.

  • To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples inline with company procedures.

  • Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.

  • The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
