Summary
Gleeson Land are looking for a Planning Manager to undertake a varied role. A role which is planning led and predominantly to lodge and see through to successful approval (to the company's satisfaction), residential planning applications for new developments across the business.
As Planning Manager your role will also include other aspects of planning including; leading appeals against refusal, dealing with discharge of some conditions, agreeing S106 obligations and completing agreements.

Main Responsibilities
- Project managing the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries
- Undertaking and assisting in the preparation of information for community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations.
- Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development potential of sites.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current planning polices particularly in relation to residential development.
- Knowledge of the various stages of Local Plan preparation and the ability to engage with that process to promote residential development sites.
- Ability to communicate with landowners and all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
- Attending site visits and meetings.
Ideal Candidate
- Full member of the RTPI with minimum 5 years post graduate experience (public or private sector experience will both be considered).
- A master's degree in Town or Spatial Planning, or similar relevant degree.
- Ability to manage teams of specialist consultants preferred.
- Ability to work independently
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A driving licence is essential.
