Senior Civil Engineer - Role: An exciting role awaits you within the civils/drainage team of our client. This role, based in Cardiff, offers a unique chance to contribute to challenging projects in the infrastructure sector, focusing on Sustainable Urban Drainage in addition to traditional surface water drainage design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the delivery of Sustainable Urban Drainage and surface water drainage design.
  • Collaborate within a dynamic team, receiving guidance from an experienced Associate Director.
  • Efficiently manage concurrent projects, ensuring prioritisation of tasks for effective client delivery.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders and statutory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Experience in surface and foul water design.
  • Possession of a Civil Engineering degree.
  • Progress towards or completion of a Professional Qualification with a recognised institution.
  • Proficiency in 3D design and modelling tools such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage or Flow.
  • Familiarity with Water Authority statutory approval processes and SuDS Approval Body.
  • Awareness of National Planning Policy and Infrastructure design requirements related to flood risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
