Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in successfully delivering commercial construction and fit-out projects?

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a team in the Midlands, leading projects valued at around £1.5 million.

My client is a dynamic and innovative construction and fit-out company committed to excellence.

With a diverse portfolio of projects and a focus on quality and client satisfaction, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to contribute to our success and lead our teams to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Project Team: clients, consultants, supply chain and the Project Team.
  • Manage and mentor the Project Team.
  • Evaluate the performance and results of the Project Team.
  • Recommend and propose improved systems, and procedures for the business.
  • Work with the commercial team to maximise commercial opportunities across the project.
  • Take a proactive role in allocated tender opportunities including the communication with the client's Project Team.
  • Act as an ambassador and good example for the performance of the duties of the Project Manager role.
  • Take an active role in assisting the Contracts Manager in his duties where requested. Demonstrate abilities and skills to rise to Contracts manager level.
  • Lead the delivery of single or multiple projects from appointment to completion: safety, cost, risk, time, quality, logistics, technical, procurement, temporary works, M&E, design, building commissioning, neighbour relations and soft landings.
  • Ensure our contractual responsibilities are adhered to.
  • Host regular site progress meetings, supply chain meetings and produce regular project reports (written and visual).
  • Assist in the management of the project construction budget and forecasting expenditure.
  • Report and internally communicate on progress of a project including: resource availability, project programme, "Solution For Approval", change management, budget achievement and final account agreement.
  • Ensure effective close out and handover, and that all project deliverables are prepared and presented to all agreed dates.
  • Organise and host PC quality audits and Inside complete ceremonies.
  • Organise and attend relationship building project social events in conjunction with the marketing team

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in commercial construction and fit-out projects.
  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional project planning and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in project management or construction.
