About the Job

As a Performance and Insight Manager within our leisure company, you will support the business understanding our performance across marketing, sales, and customer performance. This role will work with the board and department directors to interpret performance data across the organisation, ensuring we are working competitively and efficiently. You will use data collected from a range of sources to understand business processes systems, customer demographics and behaviours, marketing materials and competitor analysis, and communicate findings across departments to ensure we stay ahead of the market.

This role will not only be responsible for hands-on data manipulation, competitor analysis, modelling and profiling tasks, but also for clear and effective communication of insights and recommendations. As our Performance and Insight Manager, you will have a passionate interest in customer behaviour and exceptional commercial instincts, helping to carve out new future opportunities, scenarios, and performance forecasting.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the application and development of automated reporting.
  • Manage all insight projects, working to better improve the performance and processes within the business.
  • Manage, lead and develop a small team.
  • Manage a research and development budget.
  • Manage data quality, plan extract and clean data ready for relevant CRM and Marketing activity.
  • Deliver periodic business performance packs and present this to key stakeholders. .
  • Provide advice and make decisions on analytical tools and software's.
  • Develop a key data strategy plan, share, and present the framework to relevant stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have considerable experience in a in a customer insight role, will be a results driven expert user of Microsoft (excel) with excellent attention to detail and the ability to present findings in an accessible way to all audiences. You will have the ability to build exceptional stakeholder relationships and to understand the organisation's goals and challenges, and use the data gathered to make successful strategic decisions to improve performance and processes within the business.
