In order to continue delivering a consistently high level of companywide health and safety provision, an exciting new 12-month fixed term contract opportunity is now available for an experienced H&S professional to join a growing company with over 50 years expertise in their field.

Elland Steel Structures Ltd are excited to present a contract opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join a new construction on site in Norfolk.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing specialist Health & Safety advice, support and guidance at both strategic and operational level.
- Reviewing systems and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance to H&S legislation.
- Ensure that all personnel adhere to safe working practices in line with the organisations Health & Safety policies, procedures and processes on site.
- Carry out inductions, assessments and inspections, challenging non compliance when required and offering solutions.
- Provide assistance to site managers with initial site setup to ensure all safety documentation and signs are in place.
- Should any works be required to cease you would need to take photographic evidence and provide a detailed written report to the HSQE manager
- Support our site tradesman with ongoing health and safety training.
- Carry our formal site inspections and provide written report scoring the site with photos to support.
- Investigate & report to the HSQE Manager all potential RIDDORS, Accidents, Minor Injuries, Non-Conformances and Near Misses.
- Investigate & report all Enforcing Authority visits to the HSQE Manager.
- Analyse site reports to find high risk tasks and how we can improve.
- Attend monthly management meeting to present your findings and areas of improvement.
- Produce monthly summary reports.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience managing Health & Safety within the Construction industry
- Structural steel is an advantage, but not essential.
- Minimum Tech IOSH Qualification.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
- Report writing skills.
- Risk Assessment writing experience.
