An Amazing opportunity to join a Government organization, coordinating between multiple local authorities and industry-specific bodies.
Salary: - £45,000 - £50,000 basic + Package
Location: - Manchester
Role Description: -
This is a great opportunity to enter the public sector, working with various government bodies from Local authorities up to MP level, the Department of Transport, National Highways, Network Rail, Transport for the North, and Associated combined authorities.
This role is one of the leads, a Public Affairs & Engagement specialist. Applying your expertise to ensure the development and delivery of the public affairs & engagement Services and Strategy. Partnering with different business areas as required across the organisation, providing specialist advice, and identifying opportunities for communication and engagement.
The organisation is in the public eye for delivering transportation services in the North of England, as such your role is to ensure the communication and engagement is correct across the business. Using the public affairs & and engagement strategy to ensure information is communicated clearly and correctly to both internal and external stakeholders.
You will also manage associated external specialists who deliver related professional services to the business. Assisting the Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Communications in managing the wider team's workstreams and oversee priority projects as required.
The opportunity to develop and grow your skills, liaising with multiple stakeholders from the government down to local authorities, and being involved in the public eye makes this an exciting role for anyone in Public affairs. Working on a hybrid basis, 2-3 days working from home and 2-3 days working in the office in Manchester.
Required Experience
- Experience of working in a Public Affairs position in any sector.
- Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal), Stakeholder engagements, personal planning and interpersonal skills
- Living and in commutable distance to Manchester.
