We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner with a proven track record in business partnering and building strong working relationships at a leadership level to work in our largest commercial business unit. As an integral member of the leadership team, you will focus on implementing business plans and play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and high-performing work culture. You will be responsible for building the strategic partnering relationship with the senior leadership teams and delivering people plans, closely aligned with organisational strategy. The role also includes day to day management of operational HR activity, including complex case management. You will also work closely with the People Leadership Team, ensuring that business needs are effectively communicated and incorporated into people initiatives, and supporting in the implementation of the overall People Strategy. Travel across regions within the UK to multiple offices/sites is expected within the role. Role Details

Role Responsibilities
  • Secure a strong understanding of the business unit and work with the leadership team to implement the strategy and bring people related insights to the process.
  • Contribute to business strategy by identifying and prioritising organisational capabilities with business leadership teams.
  • Act as the people lead in the development of organisational design, structures, and resource plans and support senior leaders with Employee Relations.
  • Bring challenge and perspective to the delivery of the business agenda.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers, providing effective employee relations advice as they address sensitive and complex issues.
  • Coach leaders and managers to develop and improve their capability to proactively spot, handle and resolve people issues.
  • Challenge the status quo and drive change in a constructive and pragmatic manner.
  • Build effective relationships across the People team and as required, manage company-wide people related projects to deliver the People Strategy.
  • Ensure legal compliance and compliance to Portakabin policies.

Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who has:
  • Significant experience of working with senior business leaders to design and implement business and people strategies as a senior HR professional.
  • Ability to use an evidence-led approach to shape, create and implement new people approaches across a diverse workforce.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting complex data to inform decision-making, plans and activities.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyse risks, and solve complex problems.
  • Experience in leading as the HR expert on complex and large-scale projects (e.g. organisation design, TUPE, consultations)
  • High level engagement and influencing of senior stakeholders through effective communication and a strong HR Generalist knowledge.
  • Experience of leading, coaching & developing HR Operations teams.
  • CIPD qualification
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Full UK driving licence.
