Senior Building Surveyor Job in Bristol, Somerset
Senior Building Surveyor job for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Bristol, Somerset working on a mix of projects across residential, education and healthcare in mainly Somerset and Devon. Offering a salary of up to £60k + Bonus + Travel + Excellent progression opportunities. You will be joining a growing consultancy with a strong pipeline of work in the public sector across the South West.
They offer a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities and now expanding to education and healthcare projects. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London, South East, South West and North.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of a range of buildings across residential, education and healthcare, including residential high-rise buildings
- Defect diagnosis and recommend remedial works accordingly
- Liaise with clients, residents, contractors, developers and Clerk of Works
- Diagnostic, building pathology and reporting on residential, education and healthcare buildings.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a Building Surveyor
- RICS Accredited Degree or similar
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Fire Safety Legislation
- Remedial / refurbishment experience on largescale projects
- Experienced in diagnostic, building pathology and report writing
- Consultancy background is preferred
- Experience in healthcare and education projects would be an advantage
- MRICS or similar
- UK Driving Licence and own car.
