We are looking for a Designer & Estimator to produce furniture layouts and quotations for our Interiors business in Merseyside. As a Designer & Estimator you will be primarily responsible for creating designs on Revit and additional drawings on AutoCad, ensuring product availability, lead times and stock utilisation are considered. Excellent communication and administration skills are required to put together best value solutions and ensure all work is logged, recorded and analysed correctly. Effective liaising with the commercial and project teams as well as other internal departments such as the Central Bid team is also necessary. Role Details
  • Salary: £27,500 - £37,000
  • Role based: Merseyside, L34 9AB
  • Contract type: Permanent,
  • Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Achieve order numbers are determined by the KPI's for Interiors business.
  • Foster and develop strong client relationships to ensure a quality service.
  • Produce accurate, estimated quotations to often tight deadlines to meet customers' requirements involving discussions with Hire Centres, Clients, and other Building Services teams as necessary. Budget prices or offline quotations to be produced along with a full pricing schedule.
  • Liaise with sub-contractor to finalise designs and solutions and to keep up to date with the latest products, regulations and technology
  • Communicate with Building Services and contractors to ensure project specific co-ordinated drawings are produced.
  • Follow up on live opportunities with Hire Centres where relevant building service products are not included on the quotation to understand the client's project and recommend potential relevant building service solutions that can be added.
  • Direct influence on projected margin of opportunities, providing comprehensive advice to Hire Centres over costing implications and be involved with pricing decisions on quotations to maximise profit.

There is also great opportunity for career progression within Portakabin! Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has:
  • Experience gained in a design/technical role and established Auto CAD and Revit experience.
  • Awareness of Health Technical Memoranda and Health Building Notes healthcare standards
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Building Regulations
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above
  • Design or Technical Qualification at NVQ level 3 or above
  • Full UK driving licence.
