Press brake operator required in Colwick
My client is looking for a press brake operator. You will be working in a fast paced environment and an ever growing business. This is a temp to perm position.
The concrete factory is based in Nottingham Colwick
Acquired skills
Perform typical press operations to produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.
Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend sheet metal according to blueprints or work orders
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy of bends and dimensions
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Work with various hand tools to fabricate, weld, grind, and assemble parts
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with the equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring devices
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Ability to weld, fabricate, grind, assemble, and work with sheet metal
- Familiarity with tooling setups for different bending operations
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery issues
Preferred skills
Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates and blueprints.
Must be able to read gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
Manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
Shift times
Rotational shifts: Monday to Friday
7am- 17.00pm
