Job Opportunity: Contract Manager

Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to £70,000

Join our team as a Contract Manager at a leading privately owned, multi-disciplinary chartered building, civil engineering, manufacturing, and facilities management company. With contract values ranging between £3m and £30m, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and government sectors.

Role Overview:

As a Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing all contractual aspects of projects from inception to completion
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Preparing and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Leading and motivating project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor performance and adherence to project specifications
  • Managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial control
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained on all projects
  • Preparing and presenting project reports to senior management and clients

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager in the building, civil engineering, or facilities management sectors
  • Strong understanding of contract law and relevant regulations
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good financial acumen and experience managing budgets
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Full driving licence
