SUMMARY

Oversees all phases of equipment projects from inception to completion, taking direct responsibility for project execution. Leads a team, or multiple teams, to achieve specific goals within a set timeframe and limited resources. Manages the administration, implementation, and overall management of equipment projects. Ensures accountability for the project's scope, schedule, and budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and analyzes project plans, establishes schedules and parameters, and implements procedures to achieve system objectives for complex equipment applications.
  • Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
  • Reviews and interprets drawings and blueprints.
  • Prepares and evaluates equipment submittals.
  • Negotiates and procures outside purchases.
  • Ensures adherence to internal equipment ordering processes.
  • Processes equipment orders and issues purchase orders for vendor supplies.
  • Aligns estimated ship dates with the contractor's project schedule.
  • Creates and updates project schedules, including task generation, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Manages the preparation of material and vendor orders, records the receipt of materials, and approves payments.
  • Coordinates with contractors and owners to discuss project scope, budgets, performance, and close-out.
  • Monitors and controls project expenses to stay within budget.
  • Maintains accuracy in forecasting project costs at completion.
  • Ensures the timely completion of assigned projects and maintains customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related HVAC Technology Degree is recommended.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to adapt to various manufacturers programs.
  • Experience in HVAC/R and/or project management preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales is preferred.
