Company Background
Forsa Energy ("Forsa") was established in 2011 to develop, construct, own and operate energy assets across Europe. Until September 2017, Forsa Energy was known as Velocita Energy Developments and 2020 Renewables. As Velocita Energy Developments and 2020 Renewables, we built a successful renewables business in the UK and France. This included a combined development portfolio of over 1.4GW, and we successfully financed and constructed around 230MW of wind projects. Following the successful sale of its GB operating business and French interests, the company took the strategic decision to broaden its technology base beyond onshore wind. The company rebranded under a single name, "Forsa Energy", and is now equipped with substantial equity capital ready for deployment into energy projects in GB and potentially across Europe.
Our current focus, the flexible generation business, was set up in mid-2017 to exploit the growing market demand for reliable, flexible generation capacity to support the grid. The business plan initially concentrated on reserve gas generation which was immediately executable and is to develop a portfolio of 400-600MW reserve gas generation projects using reciprocating engine technology. The team has successfully developed, financed, and built eight operational sites totaling 195MW. We have 80MW currently in construction and a further 250MW which has won capacity market contracts in the annual auctions and is in late-stage development. Forsa also has an additional pipeline of over 100MW of development projects for next year's capacity market auction. With a clear pathway to satisfy the original business plan, Forsa is looking to alternative technologies and applications in the Flexible generation space and to support the sectors transition to net zero such as storage, grid support and hydrogen generation. Within this role, you will be working within a close-knit team where you will have the opportunity to not only grow and develop, but to influence the development of the business as we continue to build future projects within the power generation sector.
Given the success Forsa is experiencing and the ongoing planned growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Field Service Engineer to come and join the Forsa Team.
