An Experienced Interior Designer job is available with the new department of a creative workplace design and build company in the New Forest, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will enjoy leading the full design process including concept development, technical, FF&E and visualisation. Offering a salary of up to £45,000 plus profit share, hybrid working, and more! Established over a decade ago, the practice operates under a number of divisions and has gone from strength to strength over the years. This is an all-round position with a soon-to-be-launched department, part of the design & build sector. The successful candidate will be the sole interior designer of the team and must have experience working on projects from concept through to installation, liaising with both clients and contractors. Role & Responsibilities - Managing projects throughout all stages including ISO requirements, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring design are compliant with current legislation - Researching & developing initial ideas and discuss requirements with client and internal team - Working closely with project finance manager to establish costs/work schedules on projects - Preparing concept presentations 3D/2D in line with client brief and budget - Producing CAD drawings to include in presentations - Presenting design concepts to client and the wider team - Attending site meetings with clients, contractors, manufactures and suppliers - Exploring new products including fittings, furniture, decorations, and dressing - Building strong working relationships with suppliers and clients - Continually develop design processes and procedures to ensure efficiency. Required Skills & Experience - Degree qualified in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- 4+ years' experience working within a similar role in a commercial design environment - Proven experience creating concept design proposals, finishes boards and other presentation documents - Excellent communication skills and experience developing solid working relationships with clients, suppliers and other third parties - Strong presentation skills; previous experience in presenting design concepts at a senior/board level would be an advantage - Previous experience of taking briefing documents that enable full scheme development - Experience undertaking building surveys - Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, detailed drawings and schedules etc. - Up to date knowledge of materials and current design trends - Solid understanding of product & furniture solutions, and supplier knowledge/contacts - Working knowledge of current Building Regulations and statutory requirements - Proven experience in successfully managing a varied workload in line with project deadlines - Professional and effective verbal and visual presentation skills - Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel when required.
