McGinley are looking for an experienced and motivated Ganger to lead a trial hole gang on a key construction project. The role involves supervising and coordinating the digging and preparation of trial holes for site investigations, ensuring that all work meets project requirements and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader to manage a dedicated team in a dynamic work environment.
Start Date: 13/01/2025
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of Groundworkers performing trial hole excavations.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to the required specifications.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on-site, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate with site managers and other teams to meet project deadlines.
- Operate small tools and equipment as necessary, ensuring their safe use.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing guidance and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Ganger or similar supervisory role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of trial hole excavation and site investigation procedures.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety practices in construction.
- CSCS card is essential; additional certifications (e.g., confined space, street works) are advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
